Certification on paper isn't the same as competency in the field. STL's training program covers orientation, site-specific requirements, and job-specific skills — and we verify competency, not just attendance.
Every new driver and contractor completes a structured orientation before their first dispatch, covering company policy, equipment standards, and safety expectations. Site-specific training is required before access to any new facility — oilfield, industrial, or otherwise — matching whatever that site's operator requires.
Job-specific training covers H2S Alive, TDG, WHMIS 2015, CSTS, Ground Disturbance Level II, and other credentials relevant to the work. We track certification expiry dates proactively and don't let a driver's qualifications lapse mid-assignment. Competency is periodically verified through observation, not assumed because a certificate is on file.
